Perfect Fit Pleated Blinds for a Trailer Conversion in Weedon
Not every window we measure and fit is found in a conventional house, and this recent project in Weedon was certainly a little different from the norm.
We were asked to provide made-to-measure blinds for a beautifully finished trailer conversion. The large number of windows is part of what makes the interior feel so light and spacious, but the owner still needed privacy and better control over the light, particularly around the sleeping areas.
The challenge was finding blinds that would do the job without making the compact interior feel smaller or adding unnecessary bulk around the windows.
Our team measured and fitted the blinds throughout the conversion, giving us the chance to see how each window related to the living and sleeping areas. After looking at the windows and how the space would be used, Perfect Fit pleated blinds provided a practical and stylish solution.
Choosing Blinds for a Trailer Conversion
When space is limited, every part of the interior needs to work well.
In this trailer conversion, the windows bring plenty of natural light into the space and provide lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Covering them with a bulky window treatment could easily have changed the feel of the interior.
At the same time, leaving the windows uncovered wasn’t practical. The trailer is designed as a living space, with windows positioned throughout the interior and close to the sleeping areas, so privacy and light control were important.
This is where choosing the right style of made-to-measure blind can make a real difference.
Choosing made-to-measure blinds isn’t simply about getting the measurements right. It’s about finding blinds that suit your windows, your space, your style and the way you use the room.
For this project in Weedon, Perfect Fit pleated blinds ticked all the right boxes.
What Are Perfect Fit Pleated Blinds?
Perfect Fit blinds are made to sit in their own frame, which clips neatly into the window frame without the need to drill into the window surround.
When pleated fabric is used, the fabric folds into slim, concertina-style pleats as the blind opens, creating a neat and compact window covering.
If you’ve never bought blinds before, you may not be familiar with all the different systems and styles available. Pleated blinds are a practical choice when you want a neat, streamlined window covering that can help provide privacy while still making the most of natural light.
For a smaller living space such as this trailer conversion, the compact design of the Perfect Fit system was a real advantage.
The blinds sit close to the windows rather than unnecessarily intruding into the room, and each window can be controlled individually. The owner can open the blinds to enjoy the natural light and views or close them when more privacy or light control is needed.
The lighter pleated fabric also provides a lovely contrast against the dark window frames throughout the conversion.
Rather than hiding the frames, the blinds work with them and allow them to remain part of the overall interior design.
Creating Privacy Without Losing the Light
One of the things we particularly liked about this conversion was the amount of natural light inside.
With the blinds open, daylight flows into the trailer and the windows help the interior feel bright and spacious. In a compact living area, that can make a significant difference to how the space feels.
Of course, a space designed for both living and sleeping also needs privacy.
Several of the windows are positioned close to the beds, so a practical window covering was essential. When closed, the Perfect Fit pleated blinds provide privacy and help reduce the amount of light entering through the windows.
When the blinds are opened again, the windows are clear and the owner can make the most of the daylight and surrounding views.
Because each blind can be adjusted individually, there is plenty of flexibility too. If privacy is only needed in one area, there is no need to close every blind throughout the trailer.
It’s a simple solution, but one that works particularly well for the way this space is used.
Blinds That Feel Part of the Interior
A lot of thought has clearly gone into the design of this trailer conversion.
The white panelled walls create a bright backdrop, while the dark window frames, flooring and black fittings add contrast. Timber details and the wood-burning stove bring warmth and character to the interior.
The blinds needed to feel like part of that design rather than an afterthought.
Window coverings can have a surprisingly big impact on the look of a room, particularly when there are several windows in the same space. The wrong colour, fabric or blind style can easily dominate the interior.
For this project, the pleated blinds provide a simple and understated finish. They complement the dark frames without competing with the other features in the conversion.
This is one of the reasons our free home measure and quotation service is so useful. We don’t just look at the size of your windows. We can also look at your window frames, the colours and style of your room and, importantly, what you need your blinds to do.

There may be limited space around the windows, unusual window positions or a greater need to make the most of the available natural light.
An unusual window doesn’t mean you have to settle for a blind that doesn’t quite work.
